How something gets featured
Submissions go through review before anything is published — Thesuso doesn't auto-publish everything sent in. Priority goes to artists who don't already have significant coverage elsewhere, rather than repeating attention that established names already receive.
That includes older, previously overlooked releases as well as new ones — being featured isn't limited to release week.
Scope
Thesuso covers music in Juba Arabic, Dinka, Nuer, Bari and English, spanning gospel, traditional sound, Afrobeats, hip hop and more — from artists in South Sudan and across the diaspora alike.
