Biography
Linus De Genius, whose name is Linus Junior Ochwo, is a South Sudanese rapper, songwriter and music producer based in Juba.
A prominent figure in South Sudan's contemporary music scene, Linus has worked extensively as both a recording artist and producer. He has a long association with Hardlife Avenue Stars, initially producing music for the group before later becoming a member.
His work has received recognition within South Sudan's music industry, including nominations for Best Producer and Best Songwriter at the 2021 South Sudan Music Awards.
Alongside his production work, Linus has built his own catalogue as a recording artist, with releases including “Lagi Akuri,” “Nyakang,” “Na Ba,” “Kaser Ti Ki,” “Dok Cwinya” and “Vang Wo.”
Linus is also the creator of the “64 in 1” project, an initiative celebrating South Sudan's cultural diversity through music, with original songs representing the country's different communities.
