Biography
Lushy Kay is a South Sudanese hip-hop artist, rapper, singer, songwriter, producer and designer based in Juba, South Sudan.
A member of the Gurush Ketir Family collective (GFK), Lushy Kay has built a catalogue of solo releases and collaborations within South Sudan's contemporary hip-hop scene. His music includes songs such as “Sukun,” “Bandana,” “Die Young,” “In the Dark” and “Juba Confidential.”
Lushy Kay has collaborated with a number of South Sudanese artists, including Trey David and Kingtroup Pimo. “Juba Confidential,” a collaboration between the three artists, received recognition at the 2019 South Sudan Super Stars Awards.
He has continued releasing music independently and through collaborations, while also working as a producer and designer.
