Biography
Yaba Angelosi (born Angelo Maku) is a South Sudanese-American singer, songwriter, sound producer, and film director, and founder of Assida Records and Assida Films. Born near Juba and raised in a family of eight before immigrating to the United States in 2000, he plays guitar, bass, piano, and drums, and has performed internationally, including at the White House during South Sudan's Comprehensive Peace Agreement celebrations.
