Beckie Johnz is a South Sudanese R&B singer who was born in Ethiopia, raised in Kenya, and moved with her family to Melbourne, Australia in 2016. After a five-year break from music, she returned in 2019 with her EP Just the Beginning and hits like "Hold You" and "In the Middle," and has since spoken publicly about the need for genuine support within the South Sudanese music industry.
